    Voki 

    Voki is a free service that allows you to create a personalized speaking avatar and use it on your blog or wiki.  

    How can you use something as simple as an avatar to engage your students?

How to embed a Voki Speaking Avatar

  1. Once you've set up your Voki character here, click the "Publish" button, in the lower right corner.
  2. Onc e published, you'll see this screen, which has a field that has the embed code you need.  The field is labelled, "For Most Sites Use This Code".  Copy this code by clicking on it, and then pre ssing Ctrl+C, (or Command+C for the Mac) on your keyboard.
  3. Finally, in the page you want to place your Voki character, click the Edit tab to get into editing mode. 
  4. Then, click the Insert Plugin button. 
  5. Choose the "Voki Speaking Avatar" plugin, in the Interactive media category. 
  6. Paste the code you copied from Voki.com into this plugin. 
  7. Click Preview, and then click OK. 
  8. Save the page.
